The Missed Opportunities
There was a man named Sam who lived in a small town near the sea. Sam was a very religious man and always trusted God to help him when things got tough.
One day, a big storm came and Sam got stuck out at sea. The waves were huge, the wind was very strong, and it was raining a lot. But Sam stayed calm. He prayed to God and believed that God would save him.
During the storm, a fishing boat came by. The fishermen saw Sam and shouted, "Sam, take our hand! We'll help you!" But Sam said, "No, thank you! God will save me!"
A few hours later, another boat came. The people on the boat threw a rope to Sam, but he didn't take it. He still believed that God would save him.
Sadly, Sam didn't survive the storm. When he got to heaven, he asked God, "I trusted you. Why didn't you save me?"
God said, "Sam, I sent you two boats."
This story tells us that sometimes, help comes in ways we don't expect. It reminds us to take the chances that come our way, instead of waiting for things to be perfect. Every decision we make can change our lives. So, it's important to think carefully and make the best of what we have. The help we're praying for might be right in front of us, but we have to be ready to see it and take it.
